LWA opens their hearts again

Lutheran Women of Australia (LWA) is continuing to make a big contribution to the church’s work in the area of overseas aid.

The organisation has donated more than $200,000 to Australian Lutheran World Service (ALWS) in the past few years alone.

Today at the LWA Convention in Rochedale, Queensland, committee member Carolyn Kiss presented ALWS Community Action Manager Jonathan Krause with a cheque for $28,839.40 as part of its ongoing commitment to this vital lifesaving work.

Jonathan spoke to the gathering of more than 200 women from across Australia and New Zealand – as well as visitors from Papua New Guinea – about projects the LWA has supported through its donations, including long-drop loos so crucial to the health of communities in Cambodia and elsewhere in the world.
