LWA Convention opens with praise

More than 200 women from across Australia and New Zealand – along with visitors from Papua New Guinea – have gathered at Rochedale, in Queensland, for the Lutheran Women of Australia Convention 2015.

The two-day triennial conference opened with an inspirational worship service led by Pastor Hans Peethala, while LWA spiritual advisor Pastor Robert Bartholomaeus preached on the convention theme You are the Fountain of Light. Another highlight of the service, which was held in the Redeemer Lutheran College chapel, was the singing – so many voices joined in one beautiful and rousing expression of praise.

Along with addressing agenda business, attendees heard from church agency guest speakers, including representatives of International Mission, Lutheran Media, LLL and Grow Ministries on day one of the convention.
