A first for Convention worship

For the first time ever, the opening and closing services of General Convention will be filmed and live-streamed.

‘This innovation allows people all across Australia, New Zealand and even the world to join in Synod worship’, says Linda Macqueen, LCA Communications Coordinator. ‘You can watch the services live on their computer, or afterwards.’

The opening service will commence at 7.00pm (Brisbane time) tonight, Tuesday, 29 September. The closing service will be held on Sunday, 4 October at 8.30 am (Brisbane time). The services will be live-streamed at livestream.com/luthworship

In another first, sermons will be published on the Synod website (WORSHIP/PRAYER page) after delivery on Wednesday through to Saturday. A daily devotion booklet, based on each day’s sermon text will lead delegates and visitors through Ephesians, one chapter each day. It will be available in booklet form at Convention, and can also be downloaded from the WORSHIP/PRAYER page, so that everyone across the LCA/NZ can accompany delegates on this six-day prayerful journey.
