GPC Update 2

GPC Update 2

30 March 2015

Dear brothers,

God’s rich blessing as we enter Holy Week. May our Lord speak deeply into your hearts these days so you may preach him boldly and with joy.

The registration process for General Pastors Conference is just around the corner (unforseen events have delayed the intended 15 March opening). Registration is being handled by the LCA Business Manager’s office and will be using a third-party on-line registration service. Another Update will be sent next week with instructions on how to register.

The registration fee covering all daytime food, as well as a conference dinner on Tuesday evening, will be $280 for all pastors other than emeriti, and $220 for emeriti.

Financial support for travel and accommodation will be advised when registration opens.

Other preparations continue.

Particularly be aware of new documents added to the Resources page of page of the OWL website – short Q&As prepared by our Commission on Theology and Inter-Church Relations. These address selected questions surrounding the ordination matter, beginning with a brief history of the debate in the LCA. More are in the pipeline.

Remember that you need to work out if you are attending, and if so make travel arrangements and book accommodation. Alongside the registration process, we will be asking about your travel and accommodation plans so we can assess the need for buses from the airport and local accommodation points as well. Please finalise these things as soon as possible.

Thanks for your attention, and may the Lord draw us into the wonder of his passion and resurrection again.
